One of the top New York Life agencies in the country, sharing his success story with our readers. Here's the story:

HOW I GOT STARTED: I was on my way to Law School when my professional track was turned towards our Industry. I was told that I could not work my first year of Law School and therefore would need to acquire loans to pay for my classes. Instead of getting loans, I decided to make some money first. A friend/mentor of mine had been a manager in the business and recruited me.

FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO MY SUCCESS: Hard Work! Number one for me has always been my level of desire and ability to do whatever is necessary to accomplish my goals. As time has elapsed in the business, my passion for what we do has grown tremendously. In the last eight years I have also brought outside resources in, such as business and personal coaches, to take my game to another level. The final and most important factor has been the grace of God; He always seems to put us in the right place at the right time.

TURNING POINT IN MY CAREER: There is definitely a connection between the time my career really took off and when I hired my first coach into my business. This decision had great influence over both my professional and personal life. Most people who excel in their profession have someone, or a group of individuals, with whom they brainstorm, create action plans, and who help them be accountable to their plan.

PHILOSOPHY OF SELLING: Be brilliant at the basics. It's imperative for me to know daily exactly what I must attain from a numbers standpoint. I must not let myself become reactive to all the distractions that come my way. Consistency is the hardest, yet most productive, element over a long period of time.
